Northland Festivals, the nonprofit behind all 42 Snake Saturday parades and festivals, is organizing a Swift Kicks Watch Party in North Kansas City on July 11, 2026.

The event is a partnership among Northland Festivals, the City of North Kansas City, and GoNorthKC, a joint initiative of the Clay County and Platte County tourism divisions. GoNorthKC has led promotion of the watch parties and will feature a 20-foot inflatable soccer ball and soccer-player murals by Jeff Parsons, also known as Jackrabbit, for photo opportunities.
The Watch Party is designed as a family-friendly event. Activities begin at 9:00 A.M. with a futsal tournament hosted by NKC Surf Soccer Club. Food and concessions open at noon, and the inflatable carnival runs from 2:00 to 6:00 P.M., featuring Sports5n1, Wild Zoo, an 18-foot slide, Soccer Darts, Soccer Shootout, Triple Threat Sports Arena, and Human Foosball. A beer garden operated by NKC Parks and Recreation opens at 3:00 P.M. The first quarterfinal match will be shown at 4:00 P.M., followed by entertainment from DJ Luke at the CVS corner of Swift and Armour until the 8:00 P.M. quarterfinal match, broadcast live from Kansas City Stadium.
It will be an exciting day in North Kansas City. Bring a chair or blanket and watch the matches on the MAX169 giant LED screen on Swift Street, facing south between CVS and Jeffersons.
Volunteers will be available throughout the area to help with directions. Please no tents. All teens 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or chaperone that is at least 21 years of age. Come enjoy the festivities and the match, and while you’re here, explore North Kansas City’s businesses, dining, movies, sports, museums, history, and other attractions.
